The Electronics Department develops and markets electronic components for industrial automation, process automation and energy production. These components are used both inside and outside of the electrical cabinet. The focus of the electronics sector is on processing digital and analogue signals. These signals can be converted, standardised, protected and prepared for communication. For these purposes, we offer signal converters and input/output devices for Fieldbus communications based on Industrial Ethernet and Fieldbus. Product solutions are also available for the following fields: surge protection, protecting and amplifying digital signals, supplying devices inside and outside of the electrical cabinet, Ethernet data communication and for pre-assembled system cables. All of these products feature a mechanically convenient installation process, an optimised handling of electrical connections and safe wire connections. The products themselves are well suited for harsh industrial applications. They are suitable for use in a large range of operating temperatures and feature excellent resistance against electromagnetic interference. With this portfolio, the Electronics Department features products which cover the full industrial applications spectrum for the transferring and conditioning of power, signals and data. -

Identification systems Weidmüller offers a comprehensive range of products for marking devices, conductors and connectors. The marking systems import data from your existing CAE software for fast and permanent printing. The MultiCard concept from Weidmüller has now become established as a worldwide standard. High-quality, trendsetting marking systems are available for both Weidmüller products and competing products. These range from laser, thermal transfer and ink-jet printers for diverse applications up to plotters and ensure clear and permanent labelling. On request, Weidmüller also supplies ready-printed markers. An extensive range of materials, e.g. labels, shrink sleeves, cable ties, junction box terminals with the tried-and-tested tension clamp connections as well as lighting terminals for effective wiring is also available. SAI - empty enclosure Weidmüller has designed a unique line of Sensor-Actuator Interface (SAI) empty enclosures. They are easy to install and guarantee outstanding reliability. The components are matched up with each other so that the installed housing fulfils the protection class IP67 and no moulded encapsulation is required. Distributor with integrated logic SAI – logic module These devices allow the combination of signals by means of an AND or an OR gate. This function leads to a reduction in the amount of wiring. M5 distributor Besides being extremely compact, these modules are also very low in weight. But they are still amazingly easy to handle. M5 distributors are supplied as 4- and 8-way modules each with M12, M16 or fixed cable outlets. The plug-in connectors are in 3 or 4 pole design.
